Making Time For Solitude | Finding Moments of Peace

Life can get crazy busy.

From a business perspective busy is usually postive, but from a personal perspective it can sometimes wear you down.

Very soon Matthew and I will be leaving for an amazing trip to Israel that we’ve been planning for a long time.

While we’re away my access to the internet will be very limited so I’ve been editing various shoots in record time in an attempt to turn around as much as I can before we leave.

I don’t like to be kept waiting, nor do I like to keep my clients waiting on me.

Knowing that my work is done and everyone is satisfied will bring me such peace of mind while we’re away so it’s worth it to be working like mad during the time leading up to the trip.

However, staring at a computer screen for hours upon hours can get more than a little frustrating.

Today I decided that I would treat myself to an hour away from the computer and just relax in my backyard and enjoy the sunshine.

The weather is finally warm enough to lay out in a bathing suit and goodness knows I need a tan.

I flipped through the pages of some magazines and soaked in the lovely rays of the sun.

I closed my eyes, allowed my mind to wander to things other than my to-do list and enjoyed the freedom to just be still.

Eventually I came back inside, refreshed and ready to carry on with the day.

It’s important to remember that being good to others involves first being good to yourself.

Enjoy the day!

XOXO,

B

Spring is on it's way
