The hairstylist never showed up so we’re running a little behind schedule. I’m on my way to the church now. At least I still get to marry Greg today!
That was the text I received from Diana a few minutes after the time we were supposed to meet up and start the day.
Although the day started off with an unexpected twist, Diana was beaming with happiness when she arrived and not even remotely stressed out.
Spring had arrived just in time for her wedding day, bringing warmer temperatures, fresh blooms and joyous spirits.
While she finished getting ready, some of her close friends stopped by to say hello before the ceremony.
Diana clapped with delight every time a new friend entered the room and the air was filled with excitement.
Once her pearls and sparkly shoes were put on, it was time for her to go see her groom.
After the first look we made full use out of the beautiful day and did some portraits before the ceremony started.
Following the beautiful wedding mass at the church everyone headed down the street to Dunwoody Country Club for the reception.
It was a wonderful celebration filled with spectacular toasts and graced by the largest full moon the world had seen in eighteen years.
The wedding was paradise for those with a sweet tooth, with scrumptious cakes on each table as centerpieces in addition to the beautiful wedding cake and groom’s cake.
The father of the bride had also arranged for a candy buffet and a table of southern style desserts as a surprise.
A lively bluegrass band kept the dance floor moving all night long.
The evening ended with guests showering the bride and groom with marshmallows, a tradition at Notre Dame, their alma mater.
Congratulations you two, I know that you’re enjoying digging your toes in the sand in Jamaica right now!
XOXO,
B
