Part of being a wedding photographer is being a nerd. Are you surprised?
Between constantly changing camera equipment, fresh new computer gear and keeping up with what’s going on in social media, being nerdy comes in handy!
A lot of photographers are also early adopters, which means that when new things come out, we feel compelled to be the first ones to try it.
Such was the case with Pinterest, which has recently become a social media sensation and now everyone wants to know how to use it.
Last year I wrote a post explaining what Pinterest is, how it works, and what I use it for personally.
At the time, Pinterest wasn’t nearly as popular as it is now, so I thought it would be helpful to revisit the subject again and give you ideas on how to make the site work for you!
First up is my top ten list of accounts to follow to use Pinterest for weddings.
Below you’ll find wedding planning inspiration from magazines, blogs and more!
As you pin and plan, you can make boards for as many separate categories as you need.
For example, you could have boards for wedding + bridal party attire ideas, ceremony ideas, and reception ideas.
Or you could break things down element by element and have separate boards for invitations, makeup styles, hairstyles, wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, bouquets, centerpieces, aisle decor, color schemes, escort cards…the possibilities are endless!
The best part about it is you get organize things in a way that make sense to you!
Pinterest is still an invitation only site, so if you need a Pinterest invite, leave a comment below with your email address and I’ll send one over right away!
If you’re already on Pinterest, you can follow me right here.
If you have any questions on the best ways to use Pinterest to plan your wedding, just let me know- I’m here to help.
I hope you enjoy the list I’ve put together for you!
