La Bougainvillea Wedding | Vanessa + Chris | Eleuthera

This past weekend I traveled back to the Bahamas for another fabulous destination wedding!  Vanessa and Chris got married in Eleuthera, where Chris’ parents have vacationed for years and are building a home.  It is a special place for both of them and was a breathtaking backdrop for a wedding.

The night before the wedding we all headed to the Friday Night Fish Fry, a delicious Bahamian tradition.  The locals were on hand preparing tasty dishes like freshly caught fish, barbecued chicken, and macaroni and cheese.  The island music playing in the background had everyone swaying and having a wonderful time.

The next morning the wedding ceremony was held at Twin Coves Beach, a spectacular bit of paradise where the guest were surrounded by crystal clear water on three sides.  After the ceremony everyone got to go back to the hotel and take a nap before the reception later on that evening.  The reception was held at La Bougainvillea, an amazing private home and the perfect setting for an intimate reception.  The house was beautiful and featured an open air foyer with columns fashioned to look like palm trees.  It was definitely an island home and its unique features were so much fun to photograph.

Thank you so much for having me there for your big day Vanessa and Chris!  It was truly a memorable weekend and I’m so glad I was there.  Congratulations and enjoy your honeymoon!

The bride’s grandparents traveled all the way from Austria for the big day and were so excited to be there.  Aren’t they just the cutest?
