Mary Mac’s Tea Room Wedding | Rebekah + Jon | Atlanta

I can’t say enough about how kind and welcoming Rebekah, Jon and their families are.  At the last minute I had the fabulous pair of Gregg and Caroline from Gregg Willett Photography shoot with me because Matthew was in a wedding in Florida the same day.  I let Rebekah know that I’d have extra people with me and she immediately asked me for their names so she could make them a placecard.  Never have I attended a wedding where the vendors (click here to know more info about their work) were seated at the table and served dinner alongside the guests.  That’s just the kind of person Rebekah is- warm, thoughtful and caring.  I’d gone to her bridal shower a few weeks before the wedding and met most of her family there, and it was so nice to see them all on such a happy day.  Her nephew Connor is the most adorable boy ever and he made quite the dashing ringbearer!

The ceremony was at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Marietta.  The bride and groom opted to have a first look, which always makes me insanely happy!  They saw each other for the first time in the sanctuary and were all smiles.  After the first look we went outside for a few portraits and then knocked out the family formals before the ceremony started.  Easy as pie.  If you want a stress-free wedding day, a first look is the way to go!

The reception was at Mary Mac’s Tea Room, a true Atlanta staple.  The bride went to culinary school so it was important to her for everyone to have a delicious meal.  Guests chatted with one another and passed the yummy plates at the family-style tables.    Rebekah and Jon met while out dancing and kicked off the reception with a fantastically choreographed dance which set a lively tone for the rest of the evening.  Several of their dancing friends were in attendance and the dance floor was always filled with people twirling and dipping in time with the music.  It was so much fun to see!

Thank you guys for a wonderful evening.  I’m so blessed to have you guys in my life and for the friendship that has grown out of all the events leading up to the wedding.  Much love to you always and congratulations on finally being married!!

Rebekah gave these to Jon the night before the wedding.

A nod to her nursing career she told him she was “giving him her heart.”
