When my old law school roommate Afiya told me of her plans to give her pregnant sisters the gift of maternity pictures, I was beyond excited. Not one, but TWO glowing pregnant women, and one of them expecting twins! That’s FIVE separate beating hearts that were a part of this wonderful session!
Not having any children myself, pregnant women are this beautiful enigma to me. I kept saying out loud “Oh my gosh, there’s a HUMAN in there!” It’s both interesting and scary for me to think about being pregnant. For for the time being, I am completely comfortable letting my clients being the ones having babies

How cool is that chair? Matthew and I were just driving around town the day before the shoot and it was for sale outside of a store. I knew it would be perfect for all kinds of portraits and scooped it right up!
