This morning I was looking out of my kitchen window and saw a lady walking her dog and three people in uniform congregated at the end of our driveway. She didn’t have any tags on her, but was clean and obviously belonged to someone.
They looked at me with sad eyes and asked if I would please take her and put up some flyers so she could find her home.
I didn’t put up much of a fight, although I knew that Matthew would not be pleased with me for accepting another dog into our home.
Luckily, Maccabee had a vet visit scheduled for today, so we’re off to the vet now…hopefully she is microchipped and we’ll find her home right away. You can use this reference to make some improvements around the home to make your pet feel comfortable to new place.

UPDATE: The sweet girl was returned to her owners, who Matthew tracked down after going door to door knocking in the neighborhood. Hooray!!
