Canoe Atlanta Restaurant Wedding | C + C

These two are proof that all you need to have a wedding are two people in love and someone who can legally marry you.

You don’t need invitations, a hundred guests, a DJ, or even a white dress.

The most important part of any wedding day, big or small, is love.

And WOW do these two love each other.  They’ve been in a long distance relationship from the beginning and their devotion to each other is unbelievable and unwavering.

A few weeks before her wedding day the bride called me from Chicago asking if I did courthouse weddings.  I let her know that I’d never done one before, but I would love for hers to be the first!

We chatted for a while about all kinds of things (including Carrie and Big’s courthouse wedding in the Sex and The City movie!) and then decided that we were a great fit for each other.

When the wedding day came around, I was on the phone with the bride while she was driving to the courthouse and she mentioned that she’d like to see her groom for the first time on the courthouse steps.

I just loved that picture of you and Matthew that you have on your website when you saw each other on your wedding day for the first time.  I’d like to have that moment too!

Of course, I was more than happy to oblige!

Matthew came to help shoot the ceremony, which was very convenient for him since ended up having to take care of some business at the courthouse that day.  I was so happy he was able to join us, and he ended up getting a wonderful shot from their first look that I just adore.

The ceremony took place inside the courthouse and the sweet bride was just beaming with happiness the whole time.   Happy tears welled up in her eyes on more than one occasion, and the family and friends that were in attendance shared wholeheartedly in her joy.

It was perfect.

Following the ceremony we all headed over to Canoe for some cocktails overlooking the river and a delicious dinner.

Thank you both for having us there for your fantastic wedding day!  Congratulations!

XOXO,

B
