Windermere Country Club Wedding | Brittani + Chris | Cumming

This weekend Brittani and Chris were married at the lovely Windermere Country Club in Cumming, Georgia. It was a Sunday wedding at a country club, which probably sounds very familiar if you were there when Matthew and I got married 🙂

The weather report had been ominous all week long, but when we arrived at the club, we were pleasantly surprised to find the staff had an incredibly positive attitude and were setting up to go ahead with an outdoor wedding.

This made me so happy because I knew that when Brittani was planning her wedding, one of the most important things to her was to get married outside. Though the thunder rolled in the distance and it sprinkled ever so slightly right before the bride walked down the aisle, the weather cooperated fully and that made for a happy bride and happy photographers!

The event decor was designed by Nikki at Ciao Bella Weddings and she did a lovely job. The black and red color scheme was carried through all the way down to the bride’s shoes and the red ribbon around the delicious cake (you know I had a piece!) from Dawn Bakes Cakes.

Brittani and Chris are such a laid back couple and they were able to completely enjoy their wedding day because they didn’t get stressed out at all. My favorite thing about photographing Brittani is that she has this amazing laugh! It goes through her whole body and always ends with her throwing her head back in pure happiness. It makes me smile every time!

It’s been a little while since I’ve had a wedding with a flower girl and a ring bearer and the ones at this wedding certainly made up for the lost time. Miles and Peyton were a dynamic duo and I loved having them around.

Before the wedding we were going over how they were going to walk together holding hands down the aisle and Miles looked up at us and asked: “When we’re done walking, is that when I give her a kiss?”

We all cracked up laughing and let him know that kissing the flower girl wasn’t necessary and he could save his kisses for when he was a little bit older.

Congratulations you guys!! It was a great wedding and I’m so thrilled that you were able to have the outdoor ceremony you wanted!!
