Before Xavi was even born, I knew he would be an awesome baby. His mom had put up pictures on Facebook of getting his nursery ready and the main attraction was his custom made FSU bassinet. His grandma had made it especially for him and it was adorable.
I got to meet the little Seminole while I was still in South Florida and we had a good time together. Xavi is such a happy, smiling baby, but as soon as you take the camera out, he turns super serious. His mom told me that he’d always been like that, and my camera was no exception. If anything, my camera was even more puzzling to him with all the weird sounds that it made. However, with the help of mom, grandma and I all making strange noises and faces (what a sight we must have been) we coaxed smiles out of him!
We also took a short field trip to the farmer’s market down the street from the house and had fun with the pumpkins they had on display. Xavi charmed all the women who were working there, and we took home a tiny pumpkin for him as a souvenir.
