I love when we get the chance to do something a little out of the ordinary, especially when it involves people getting married!
Jessica and David had a friend officiate their other wedding (the one with all the guests and the big party!) who wasn’t legally able to marry them, so they had to get married at the courthouse first.
Matthew and I weren’t able to attend the big wedding because we shot Kim + Kyle’s wedding that day, but we were happy that we got to be there for the courthouse wedding.
This lower key day was “David’s wedding” and the bigger wedding was “Jessica’s wedding.”
We did some portraits of the two of them around Marietta Square before heading over to the courthouse where a sweet judge officially married them.
It was a great day and the four of us went out to dinner afterwards to celebrate.
I’d originally asked Jessica if she and David would like to celebrate alone, but her response was “I’ve got the rest of my life to celebrate with him, we want you guys there with us!”
They are a fabulous couple and we were so honored to be there on their wedding day.
This courthouse wedding was actually a secret, so I waited until after their other wedding to blog these images.
Congratulations you two! I know you’re having a blast on your honeymoon in Hawaii right now and can’t wait to hear about it when you get back!
