Atlanta Bar Mitzvah Photographer | Sam Jam 2015

I’ll be honest, when the planner from Sally + Geordie’s wedding asked if I would please shoot a bar mitzvah for one of her clients, I was somewhat wary.

Me? Bar mitzvahs? I knew I could shoot weddings and engagements. I knew I could handle families, babies and dogs (sometimes all at once!)

But a bar mitzvah? I hadn’t been involved with one since back when I was thirteen and all my friends were having them.

I took a chance and said yes. I’m so glad I did!

It was fun and refreshing to do something different, yet still somewhat familiar. Logistically, there are a lot of similarities between mitzvahs and weddings.

Sam and his entire family were so awesome to work with and made me feel right at home!
