A Royal Affair | Atlanta Fashion Photographer

Last year I was fortunate enough to stumble upon a gem of an event whose mission was to help out girls in the Atlanta community who were in need of a little extra encouragement.

A Royal Affair is the brainchild of Tiffany Cadogan and Lisa Nwachukwu, the owners of Sapphire Ink PR.  After A Royal Affair’s successful debut in 2009, the planning began to make the next one bigger and better.

More volunteers were found, a bigger space was secured, and of course, more girls were involved!

The volunteer turnout was so impressive that I only photographed a fraction of the gorgeous girls who were there.

The purpose of the event was to give a fresh sense of female empowerment and positive self image at a time when young women need it most.

The girls came in waves, and as each new group arrived at H.Lenore Studio they began their day with an informative and interactive discussion session about the pressures of being a young woman and how to deal with various situations that arise in their lives.

After learning about how to better handle some tough times, they were treated to a fabulous hairstyle, gorgeous makeup and a professionally styled outfit, courtesy of Lakeisha Massey.  After their makeover was complete, they got to have fun and pose for the camera!

There were some little brothers on site, and they had to entertain themselves somehow.

These two little lovelies were all about their own mini-shoot while waiting for the big girls to get ready.  Could they be any cuter??
